From a quick review of our website blog. It looks like we only posted once last spring. I guess that tells you something about how busy life gets once harvest season starts! We are going to try to do a bit better this season. We are back at it after a fall and winter off. Chantee and I returned a few weeks ago from a 5 month trip to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. And we are home with a baby on board! (not born yet). We are waiting until approximately May 8 and peak asparagus season for that :) It is cold outside, but we have the heat mats full of sprouting seeds and baby plants. We are also gearing up for an early planting season with a new caterpillar tunnel. Another one will go up in the next few weeks. They are a lower cost solution for season extension than traditional high tunnels and greenhouses. We are hoping to have a greater variety of produce earlier this year. Other new items for this season: Strawberries! Last fall, we put in 1000 strawberry plants for our CSA members! We are looking forward to a good season. CSA Registration is now open! Sign up early! For those of you that are interested in our day to day and week to week farm happenings, we will be posting regularly on Instagram (follow us by our user name: Fishersproduce and #fishersproduce) We also have a log of pictures from our mission work in the Congo on Instagram as well. For more stories from the Congo, we posted several on our personal blog site. Blessings, Luke & Chantee
